IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2017 will provide the details for the examination pattern that will be followed in the main examination. The candidates preparing for the exam must have the details for the exam pattern as it will help them preparing well for the exam. In this article, we have provided the details for the exam pattern so that the candidates can prepare accordingly.
The exam will be conducted in two phases. First, the prelim exam will be conducted and then the main exam. The candidates qualifying the main exam will be called for the interview round. As per the IBPS Clerk 2017 Exam Pattern, the question paper will be containing the objective type questions only. The candidates will have to select the correct answer from the provided options. The question paper will be available in Hindi and English language as well.
In the prelim exam, there will be three sections. According to IBPS Clerk Exam Pattern 2017, there will be English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability. There will be 30, 35 & 35 questions respectively in these sections. Total time allotted for completing the exam will be 60 minutes.
In the main exam, there will be 5 sections overall, i.e., Reasoning, English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge. There will be 40 questions each in all of these sections. There will be a total of 200 questions. The total time allotted to complete the exam will be 135 minutes. No extra time will be allotted to the candidate under any circumstances. Negative marking of 0.25 mark will also be applicable for the incorrect answers. The candidates will have to clear the sectional cut-off and the overall IBPS Clerk cutoff as well.
